This article provides detailed instructions on how to accurately input your nutrient event data, including products and application methods.
Introduction
The launch of the MRV Data Platform 2.0 enhances the grower enrollment experience by ensuring greater accuracy, predictability, and scalability throughout the data input process.
This article provides detailed instructions for accurately entering your Nutrient data, including the Products used and all pertinent application information.
It is advisable to input your crop events data before addressing any of the subsequent stages. This will ensure that the crop and crop year date range is accurately recorded, allowing for a label that is clearly displayed in the subsequent stages:
Entering nutrient data
1. The second column of the table features a toggle that allows you to specify whether nutrient application events were applied during that particular crop year. Indicate "No" if there were no nutrient events during that crop year. When the "No" option is selected, the subsequent data cells will be disabled, indicating that no further input is necessary.
2. Begin by entering the required data into the appropriate cells.
- Application date: For your convenience, input the date either manually or using the date picker (select the calendar icon).
- Product: A detailed and curated list of fertilizers, complete with their respective ratios and labels, is available for your selection. The drop-down menu offers an efficient search function, facilitating the swift identification and selection of the required inputs.
- Rate type: Select Product or Nitrogen rate. Select "Product rate" to indicate that you will provide the total quantity of the product applied. Alternatively, select "Nitrogen rate" if you are reporting solely the total amount of nitrogen applied.
- Rate: Entered manually in numerals.
- Rate unit: Select the unit of weight according to region (per ac/ha). Please keep in mind that the units will be determined by the type of product selected, whether wet or dry.
- Application method: A drop-down menu is provided for selection, including fertigation, broadcast, and injected. Certain application methods are designated for specific product types; for instance, injection is exclusively permitted for organic products.
- Application depth: Entered manually in numerals.
- Depth unit: Drop-down selection of cm or in. Depth entry for broadcast is not required, and the cell will remain closed. When utilizing fertigation as the application method, it is necessary to input both the depth and the water amount.
- Water amount: Entered manually in numerals.
- Water amount unit: Entered by drop-down menu selection (cm, mm, in & gal).
- Additives: A selection tick box ✅ allows a quick selection of the required inputs. Additives are permitted solely for specific products and application methods. A maximum of one urease inhibitor and one nitrification-inhibitor additive may be utilized in any given application.
Note: Additives will not be allowed when the product type is EENF, Organic amendment, or when the Application method is Fertigation.
3. You may add multiple nutrient events for each crop year by selecting the "Add event" option.
Saving and editing your data
- Upon completing each data entry, it is essential to click the save button to secure your input and prevent any loss of information before proceeding to the next stage.
- Data can be modified at any time by selecting the edit icon. After making the necessary adjustments, be sure to save your changes to ensure they are recorded.
- Data rows that were added in error can be efficiently removed by using the delete button.
