This article provides definitions on the different application methods available in the MRV platform when entering nutrient management data.
- 🌱Broadcast - fertilizer is spread across the soil surface.
- 🌱Subsurface - fertilizer is applied below the soil surface, at the depth specified. (The depth input is required for subsurface applications).
- 🌱Fertigation furrow - fertilizer product is applied to the field with water at a single point during the day. (The water amount input is required for fertigation furrow applications).
- 🌱Fertigation sprinkler - fertilizer product is applied to the surface of the field with water, distributed over half a day. (The water amount input is required for fertigation sprinkler applications).
- 🌱Fertigation Drip - fertilizer product is applied to the surface of the field with water, distributed equally over the entire day. *(The water amount input is required for fertigation drip applications).
- 🌱Fertigation subsurface drip - fertilizer product is applied below the surface of the field with water at a depth of 8-10cm, distributed equally over the entire day. *(The water amount input is required for fertigation subsurface drip applications).
