Calculates emissions due to combustion of fuel by machinery applying fertilizer.
Overview
Quantifies the emissions generated due to use of machines when applying fertilizer. It considers the number of fertilization events performed on the field, the category of fertilizer applied, and the type of equipment used.
Limitations

This methodology does not include the actual production of the machinery or maintenance.

It does not include any combination fertilization events like fertilization with planting or fertilization with tillage.

The Ecoinvent data used for emissions are limited to only a few application methods. All method used are assumed to be broadcasted except for in the US where there is injection.
